Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Offshore Senior Engineer - Electrical to be based in Chennai. The incumbent will be responsible for the following listed activities:

 

  1. Ensure all work to be carried out with a positive attitude towards safety, both in design and in the office environment
  2. Undertake Lead Electrical Engineer Role of FEED/EPC within an appropriate multi discipline project
  3. Keep up to date with latest industry practices, standards and product development
  4. Lead Projects and assigned group of Electrical Engineers/Designers when required
  5. Provide technical input into engineering projects resulting in production of quality deliverable products to the Corporate and related National Standards
  6. Understand the requirements and drivers of the project through client supplied documentation and India Operations management instruction
  7. Provide technical support to the design team developing the engineering solution
  8. Develop engineering solutions to problems that reflect constructability and operability issues
  9. Prepare and check engineering calculations and drawings on project team
  10. Support in the preparation of project specifications, requisitions and reports
  11. Coordinates with other disciplines as and when required
  12. Coordinates with other Wood affiliated offices with respect to workshare
  13. Keeps abreast of the project strategy and key drivers. Maintain project familiarisation with the project DDI (Discipline Design Instruction)
  14. Participates on Model Reviews as and when required

Skills / Qualifications

Qualification:

  • Graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Equivalent (Essential)

 Experience:

  • Experience 7 - 15 years with ETAP and Offshore
  • Should have experience in Offshore projects more than 70%
  • Should have knowledge in Offshore brown field work
  • Should have worked as Area Lead in Offshore Projects
  • Knowledge in Offshore Hazardous layout and depleted well fluid by Electrification, overall power demand calculation, planning cable tray layouts are preferable
