Maintenance Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrument) 

Wood is currently sourcing for Maintenance Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrument) to work on our PMC project in Abu Dhabi for 12-18 months assignment.

The work involved is not limited to below mentioned tasks:

• Execute assigned personal objectives with limited direct guidance and supervision
• Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific OMS and client procedures in execution of work activities. Provide feedback for continuous improvement of aforementioned procedures, if applicable
• Undertake review of peer and junior personnel work in accordance with OMS Review and checking procedure 
• Under instruction from Lead Maintenance Engineer, delegate tasks to junior personnel 
• Provide coaching and mentoring of junior position personnel directly assigned by Lead Maintenance Engineer
• Provide discipline technical support to the wider OMS business 
• Provide discipline specific input to scope definition and execution for new project work scopes 
• Ensure self awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments
• Clearly communicate any identified improvements to service execution to Lead Maintenance Engineer

Performance Indicator:

• Effective delivery of assigned work scopes in accordance with applicable OMS or client Process and Procedures
• Attain and sustain Senior Maintenance Engineer competency
• Agree and action personal ‘My Success Plan’ with Lead Maintenance Engineer
• Define and action personal development plan towards next career position

Internal:

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the business, project, contract, and discipline interfaces
• Networking and knowledge sharing

External:

• Maintain awareness of external stakeholders including: industry bodies, academia, vendors, client interface (as appropriate and requested)

As delegated by Lead Maintenance Engineer and in accordance with Wood limits defined within the Delegation of Authority

Minimum Qualifications: 

• BSc, B.Eng, HNC, HND or equivalent with industrial experience in applicable maintenance discipline OR NVQ or equivalent trade based qualification with hands on industrial experience in applicable maintenance discipline

Minimum Experience: 

• Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position

• Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills
• Good team working skills 
• Good written communication [technical report writing

• Develop, review, and modify maintenance procedures
• Assign equipment specific Tag Numbers to asset items in accordance with applicable procedures
• Develop, review, and modify hierarchal equipment asset structures in accordance with applicable procedures
• Develop, review, and modify maintenance task lists in accordance with applicable procedures
• Assign resources and supporting activities required to undertake specified maintenance activities
• Develop performance assurance maintenance tasks aligned to safety case performance standard requirements
• Apply maintenance criticality assessment to asset systems and equipment items
