Wood is recruiting for a Graduate Process Engineer with a BSC / MSC in Chemical, mechanical or Process engineering to join our Life Sciences division based in Basel, working on Pharmaceutical projects in Europe and internationally. 

This will be an opportunity to specialise on Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) facility projects.

The Role 

Our Process engineers work closely with our clients to understand their requirements and advise on the best process to follow in order to achieve the desired results.   

As a recent graduate you will joinan experienced Process team and be asigned a mentor.

Once the needs are identified, you will work with a multi-disciplined team to develop the engineering solutions. You will have regular interaction with the client to keep them informed of the progress of the project, ensuring that we are on track for delivery of their work scope, and overcome any challenges as they happen. 

You will actively participate in the execution of the design for the OSD facility.

Typical Responsibilities - as part of a team

• Concept, Basic & Detail Design Engineering activities for the assigned projects 
• Preparation / review of PFD, P&ID's or project specific specifications  
• Interface with other disciplines, departments, clients 
• Coordinate disciplines activities, control and forecast work area activities and deliverables against schedule 
• Work in coordination with procurement and subcontracting group as well as estimate department 
• Coordinate project engineers during the preparation of key project documents (P&IDs, line list, equipment list)  
• Organise, contribute and prepare notes for multi-discipline meetings to affect the timely completion of the requisition 
• Contribute and participate to work in an enthusiastic manner, working to the requirements of quality and environmental management systems maintained to ISO standards 
• Provide project management support as required to projects, project managers and executives 
• Work as part of a team by supporting each other, sharing workload and covering during periods of absence

Requirements: 

• MSc / BSc degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Process  engineering 
• Previous experience in a similar Process Engineering role within engineering companies for the pharmaceutical sector is desirable
• Previous experience working on OSD facility projects is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Ability to work across multi-discipline teams 
• Fluent in spoken and written German and English is a mandatory requirement 
• Eligible to work in Switzerland
