Home Office Construction Manager

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Construction Manager with extensive experience of delivering major projects in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

The role will be suitable for a construction leader who has demonstrable experience of leading & delivering major projects and who is looking for a HO Construction role, establishing execution strategies and site set-up.

The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible and accountable for leading a team of Construction Managers & Construction Engineers on a significant FEED project in the Home Office, Reading.

Specifically, the role will encompass;

• Act as the senior Construction figurehead to liaise with Wood senior project management & Client personnel, in leading a team of Construction Managers and Construction Engineers, in developing project deliverables, in accordance with project schedules and specifications
• Responsible for providing advice & expertise on critical issues, and to be accountable for the development of the Construction Execution Plan, Temporary Construction Facilities definition and specification, construction site management organisation, logistics including Heavy Lift & Transportation Studies, and for ensuring that constructability and modularisation strategies are considered and developed
• Responsible for providing authoritative input into the EPC schedule and cost estimate, the overall contracting strategy and input into the EPC scope of work contract packages
