Senior Project Controls Systems Specialist

Wood is currently recruiting a Senior Project Controls System Specialist to join the team in Aberdeen. 

The main objective of this role is to provide corporate project controls support for the operations business unit in Wood by assisting with the continued development and delivery of the Project Controls toolset.  This role involves working with the project controls systems team, supporting in the delivery of various initiatives and includes areas of start-up, monitor and control, and intervention.

Project Controls System Support 

• Act as Project Controls System Focal point and provide direction, guidance and support to the project controls community as required
• Have a detailed working knowledge of the Project Controls systems portfolio and the application of these tools
• Work to identify and resolve technical problems with Project Controls systems
• Assist with the configuration and implementation of Project Controls systems within established standards and
• Engage and collaborate other technical teams (internal and external) as appropriate to escalate and resolve problems received from business users
• Record, analyse and document technical issues and fixes
• Deliver project controls system training sessions and functionality demonstrations to a range of audiences
• Responsible for personal safety and working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood HSE processes
• Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood Quality Assurance systems and processes

Project Controls Support

•  Support the implementation of the standard Power BI project controls reporting suite
• Assist with the development of new Power BI reports

Qualifications:

• Degree desired in relevant technical or business discipline or can be substituted by suitable work experience

 Knowledge, skills and experience: 

• Experienced with Office 365 suite of applications, in particular Word and Excel
• Demonstrable aptitude in understanding Information Systems
• Have a working awareness of Project Controls and Project Management concepts and processes
• Knowledge of Power BI preferred
