Cost Engineer

Wood has an opportunity for an experienced Cost Engineer to join our team in Reading on an agency basis for 12 months. Part-time and full-time candidates to be considered; minimum 30 hours a week; please advise preference when applying.  In this role you will be responsible for providing a Cost Engineering service to projects as part of a project team under the guidance of a Senior or Lead Cost Engineer. This role requires the candidate to be able to work independently on dedicated tasks and be proactive in delivering regular activities, a keen eye for detail is critical. 

Responsibilities

• Establishing project requirements, in conjunction with senior project cost engineer, with regards to scope of services, organisation and job specific procedures and cost reporting.
• Maintaining close liaison with client personnel to maintain satisfactory working relationships and to identify potential problem areas

• Degree or HNC / HND preferred, ideally in an engineering discipline or where strong cost and commercial skills are included.
• A proven cost engineering experience within Petrochemical or similar industries
• Proactive approach
