Junior CAD Administrator

Wood is currently seeking a Junior CAD Administrator in order to grow its Perth Mining & Mineral group.

Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects.

Reporting to the Engineering Systems Manager, the Junior CAD Administrator will provide support for CAD applications (both 2D and 3D) on projects and monitor conformance to the procedures and regulatory standards. Should have the willingness to learn and be mentored into a Senior CAD Administrators role.

In this position, roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited, the following:

• Assist Designers and Engineers with CAD related issues
• Set up of new starters software in a timely manner
• Ensure permission groups are setup
• Implement workstation moves as instructed
• Perform data entry tasks as instructed
• Assist with minor support issues such as setting up printing, in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist with IT workload when requested
• Audit workstation allocations and locations in the office and update lists.
• Ensure all instructions are followed
• Ensure all floor staff requests are communicated to the Senior CAD Administrators to assess and delegate tasks.

What will set you apart from other applicants will be your previous experience in a large company within the resources industry in a similar position. Your 3+ years of experience is a catalyst for fostering excellent relationships both internally and externally. You will also have:

Experience

• 2 to 5 years’ experience
• Familiarity with CAD tools

The expertise you'll bring:

• Troubleshoot and resolve CAD issues
• Diploma in Engineering or Design and Drafting / Cert II in Applied Digital Tech
• Computer literate
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Proactively seek and accept guidance and feedback provided by subject matter experts
• Good organisational and time management skills
