Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations.

 

We are currently seeking Mechanical Fitters to support our long-term water maintenance partnership. This is a casual role based at Seqwater's Mt. Crosby Water Treatment Plant and is focused on the delivery of maintenance and mechanical services, working with a dynamic team in the Central Region.

 

At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/visa for this region, in place.

 

Experience

  • Pump alignment
  • Preservation of rotating and static equipment
  • Demonstrable experience in pressure testing
  • Asset maintenance background
  • Experience with data assessment, ordering spares and recording (Microsoft Excel). 

Requirements

  • Demonstrable strong commitment to safety
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and self-motivated
  • Ability to work autonomously when required, while taking ownership of the role
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing

Skills / Qualifications

  • Must have relevant Australian recognised trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter 
  • Current First Aid, LVR&CPR, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Breathing Apparatus and Gas Test Atmosphere tickets are all desirable, but not essential
  • White card or equivalent.
