Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer, with expertise in Petrochemical Technologies (such as Olefins production, Polyolefins, other Intermediates and Plastic materials) and / or in Syngas, Ammonia, Urea and Methanol, to join its Projects – Process and Chemical team focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries.

The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

Typical responsibilities

Under the Supervision of Process Manager, the successful candidate:  

  • carry out Process calculations, simulations, heat & material balances, Process flow diagrams, data sheets and other Process deliverables, in agreement with the Process Standards and the applicable project norms;
  • review and comment documents from Licensors and Vendors;
  • interact with the other Engineering Disciplines as necessary to prepare the Process deliverables and ensure their follow-up;
  • attend project reviews like P&ID review, Hazid, Hazop, etc;
  • interact with the Client personnel as requested along the development of the project.

  • MSc degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Fluent in English and Italian (other languages, in addition to English, preferred)
  • Knowledge of process simulators
  • Excellent technical background in the same role
  • Proven experience in the role

  • Client focus and attitude to team work
