  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a pensions Payroll and Accounts Administrator.This role involves working within a pension administration team, completing daily/month treasury tasks, paying pensioners on time and accurately and dealing with all related tasks.

    Skills / Qualifications


    • Inputting payroll amendments (e.g. address changes and bank details, tax codes).
    • Balancing the monthly and periodic payrolls
    • Ensuring that payslips and P60s are issued correctly.
    • Ensuring that payroll deductions are dealt with correctly (e.g. PAYE, healthcare).
    • Calculating manual payments using computer software and/or HMRC PAYE tables.
    • Dealing with pensioner enquiries.
    • Ensure that targets and deadlines are met, and that all delivery promises, and performance standards are achieved.
    • Work with the Payroll Lead Pensions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs e.g. automation, full use of standard products.
    • Completing regular treasury tasks and supporting the Pension Schemes Accountant as necessary

    Knowledge, skills and experience:

    • Experience in pensioner payroll administration is desirable
    • Excellent customer service skills
