Wood - Perth Western Australia is excited to offer an Engineering Design Traineeship. 

This traineeship requires a two-year commitment by you to complete a Certificate III in Engineering through TAFE whilst working full time, contributing to some of Australia’s largest Oil & Gas engineering assets and projects.

About the Role

We are seeking diverse and talented employees committed to contributing to a productive & healthy team culture.


You will be part of a supportive and close-knit team that will guide and mentor you through this journey.  Under the guidance of our senior design staff, you will learn to:

  • Interpret and produce engineering design drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) from sketches and other data.
  • Review existing drawings.
  • Learn to share ideas and contribute to innovative solutions to meet the project objectives.
  • Support the development and improvement of HS&E procedures, initiatives, and programs.

Skills / Qualifications

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

  • A desire to develop new skills and be enthusiastic about learning.
  • Be punctual, reliable, conscientious and courteous.
  • A reasonable level of mathematics.
  • Successfully completed year 12 or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willing to enrol and complete a Certificate 3 in Engineering at TAFE (company funded)
  • Able to comply with our Drug & Alcohol policy
