Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting an experienced  Delivery Maintenance Manager to join our team in Brooklyn. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the primary objective of the Delivery Maintenance Manager is to develop and maintain the delivery of maintenance services to our customer in a safe, efficient and effective manner.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety focus is maintained at site and create a positive safety culture that enhances the wellbeing of our employees
  • Ensure team’s compliance with Wood and our customer’s policies, standards, quality, safety, environmental, technical procedures, SMI instructions and practices as required, performing compliance checks from time to time
  • Provide visible leadership to the workforce and ensure time is spent equally and as required between each of the regions and sites
  • Provide input into asset management strategies and development of computerised maintenance/asset management systems
  • Oversee the provision of asset maintenance across the region and ensure maintenance is delivered consistently across our customer assets
  • Promote and support the alignment of standards, procedures and practises across each of the regions to obtain consistent efficient delivery of service. Identify improvement opportunities and implement improvement plans as required
  • Support the centralised planning team to determine, coordinate and assign resources to maintenance activities and ensure work is delivered as per the plan
  • Provide input into scheduling of maintenance activities and address maintenance issues arising from the schedule

Skills / Qualifications

  • Professional qualification or equivalent with relevant and considerable experience in the industrial sector
  • Demonstrate balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
  • Extensive Leadership experience in a contracting organisation performing in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of relevant Government regulation and legislation
  • Strong understanding of key relevant maintenance practices and standards
  • Intermediate level of commercial and business acumen
  • Strong industrial relations technical knowledge and experience
  • Ability to develop high performing teams and culture
  • Relevant Workplace health and safety requirements
  • Exceptional leadership skills with positive attitude to addressing problems
  • Significant experience driving and supporting maintenance strategy development and change process’s
  • Knowledge and experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Financial and budget preparation and management
  • Mobile and willing to spend time away from office location as and when operation requires
  • The ability to take responsibility for (manage) a team of trades staff and several facilities and a large regular contractor base
  • Demonstrated experience in managing resources to ensure organisational objectives are met
