Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant, an exciting & challenging role on the BSP Offshore Rejuvenation project.


Successful applicants will be responsible for supporting the Finance Team in all aspects of Financial control of a large and complex offshore project.


  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice / expense reports, recording entries
  • Pay vendors by updating approved invoice in Invoice Register, preparing SCB payment template for TT payment, preparing payment voucher for approved invoices for cheque issuance
  • Pay employees by receiving, verifying and circulating for approval expense reports, preparing SCB payment template for TT payment, preparing payment voucher for approved invoices for cheque issuance
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Provide administrative support to Finance officers as and when required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Part Qualified Accountant or AAT Qualified
  • Must be able to work under own initiative without constant supervision
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Systems
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good customer service skills and able to communicate well at all levels
  • Adaptable and able to quickly learn new systems and procedure as a result of the constant change within the department
