Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting Project Control Manager/ Business Manager to join our OMPP team in Saudi Arabia.


  • Report to OMPP Program Director
  • Responsible for Being the appointed Management representative for Project Controls within the WAH Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP)
  • Manage all project controls activities across the organization
  • Develop and coordinate policies and procedures for project controls processes / systems and tools
  • Ensure transparency of data, information and reports provided to Saudi Aramco and WAH
  • Ensure project controls adherence to the WAH ethics policy
  • Ensure that all project control team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities
  • Manage Project Controls and services resources in line with budget
  • Recruit Project Controls resources to meet business needs
  • Motivate and support Project Controls team members
  • Provide appropriate level of training and career development across the Project Controls team
  • Prepare guidelines, status reports, and presentations for Management
  • Review contractual obligations and ensure that the project execution plan, work plan and deliverables are in accordance with requirements
  • Ensure the project control activities and deliverables meet the requirements of the OMP Program and the contractual requirements
  • Ensure that planning, cost control and estimating procedures are adhered to, and that all corporate systems are set up and executed correctly to support the specific needs of the project
  • Supervise and coordinate work performed by the Project Controls Team
  • Assign resources to project work
  • Coordinate with accounting for invoicing to Clients
  • Manage the Management of Change (MoC) Process and band ensuring that adequate controls are in place over this process to ensure cost recovery
  • Manage and administration of the QMS related to Project Controls
  • Support Manager of Projects assisting with corporate and administrative duties as required
  • Creating an environment suitable for ongoing development of Project Controls team members
  • Ensure continual improvement of the Project Controls processes and procedures. Assigning team workload ensuring timescales are adhered to
  • Mentor staff and conduct peer reviews and facilitating training and professional development to Project Controls staff
  • Ensure that lessons learned are captured and implemented

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum years of experience is 15 years in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Has experience in offshore industry or similar industry and has construction management experience on mega projects
  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering and good knowledge of discipline codes of practice, standards, and statutory documentation. Solid grasp of discipline engineering practices and techniques and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of discipline projects
  • Must have thorough knowledge of engineering and construction practices relative to the discipline (FEED knowledge is particularly important)
  • Experience in a senior management role, collaborating with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative marketing strategies. Capable of representing Company internally up to board level and externally to senior management.
