Overview / Responsibilities

Wood’s Environment & Infrastructure Solutions divisions are leading consulting business, providing multi-disciplined solutions covering all aspects of environmental services, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure, materials testing and engineering and water resource services.

Wood is currently seeking an Environmental Consultant with a diversified environmental background. The successful candidate will provide on-site environmental consulting needs of our client, including the wastewater monitoring management and hazardous materials management, review of legislation and preparing communication documentation. The candidate will also provide environmental awareness and competency training sessions to onsite personnel.


Full proficiency in Dutch and English is required for the position that is situated in an international work environment.

Skills / Experience


  • Basic familiarity with Belgian, Walloon and Flemish environmental legislation
  • Environmental background
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in Dutch is a must
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented and flexible personality
  • Driver’s license



  • Experience with GIS
  • Knowledge of the French and or German language 



  • Graduate degree (Bsc) in engineering, environmental science (biology, landscape planning or environmental planning) or chemistry. 


The place of work will be mostly on site at our client’s office in Brunssum, the Netherlands, and occasionally at our client’s locations in the Benelux and Germany. Incidentally the candidate may be asked to work from our office in Arnhem (the Netherlands) or Frankfurt am Main (Germany).
