Overview / Responsibilities

Massy Wood Guyana is currently seeking an expression of interest for a potential project to be based at our Guyana office.


This is an expression of interest only and is dependent on the successful award of the project by the Client. If successful folllowing the tender phase, the project is expected to commence in 2021.


Applicants must have full work rights in Guyana to be considered for the role.


  • Possess awareness and understanding of Contractual and Commercial obligations set out in the individual service Contracts.
  • Responsible for the oversight and leadership of the Construction Delivery Services team on both onshore and offshore related scopes being self-performed by Massy Wood
  • Lead the strategic development plans of self-performing business model for existing, new services and contract expansion.
  • Responsible for the overall operational management of end-to-end delivery of all self-perform projects.
  • Lead in the development of departmental procedures applicable to fabrication and construction applicable to the Construction Delivery Services.
  • Lead the department Construction Readiness Review sessions to provide assurance associated with execution.
  • Provides input into front end planning associated with each scope related to self-performing activities.
  • Identify and generate growth opportunities for the direct execution (self-perform) business. Network and establish/maintain customer relationships.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognised university.
  • Certification in Project Management would be an asset.
  • Foundation skills in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide direction to and supervise others.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work in a Team Environment.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well external and internal customers.

 An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
