Overview / Responsibilities

Massy Wood Guyana is currently seeking expressions of interest for a potential project to be based at our Guyana Office.

 

This is an expression of interest only and is dependent on the successful award of the project by the Client. If successful following the tender phase, the project is expected to commence in 2021.

 

Applicants must have full work rights in Guyana to be eligible for this role.

 

  • Support the operations in ensuring the electrical distribution system is maintained in a safe and reliable working condition, operated within the design parameters, and complies with Client and Massy Wood's procedures
  • Execute all assigned work according to plan, ensuring work is completed satisfactorily and recorded on the planned maintenance history records
  • Participate actively in the reviewing of the Equipment Specific Maintenance Programme (ESMP) in order to improve the maintenance plan
  • Report any failure, sub-standard conditions, or incidents affecting electrical equipment, production or property of the Client to the Team Leader or a more senior technician
  • Identify all consumables and spares and monitor quantity levels and adequate storage conditions for the discipline
  • Perform all other related job functions as required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Electrical Technician's Diploma (EEET) or equivalent certification
  • Good level of troubleshooting and operations knowledge
  • Experience dealing with a variety of electrical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret the Spares and Maintenance manuals

An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
