Responsibilities

  • Support and partner with line management for the development of workforce planning; talent management and succession plans; identification of employees for leadership development; execution of business cultural change initiatives; and identification of learning opportunities
  • Enable and support leaders to achieve the shared vision and achievement of the business goals
  • Provide ongoing support in relation to P&O issues in order to develop solutions and resolve issues across the life cycle of on-boarding, retention, remuneration, engagement, employee relations, employment law/relations and learning and development
  • Manage organisational structure changes, recruitment, people movements, changes to employee conditions of employment and terminations
  • Accountable for all employee relations issues including grievances and disciplinary actions
  • Lead all change management activities
  • Operate as a key support member to the local management team with the delivery of the People and Organisation agenda
  • Provide the interface between the business and specialist areas and P&O Shared Service Centre

Skills / Qualifications

It is essential you have:

  • Minimum 5 years HR experience and at least 3 years Business Partner experience within the Resources / Engineering / Construction market sector in both corporate and project/site-based HR roles
  • Degree qualified in Human Resources
  • Previous experience in an Engineering EPCM environment
  • Demonstrated experience successfully harmonising and implementing HR strategies and HR systems in a merged company environment
  • Extensive experience in the following systems: iCIMS and the Oracle Suite (e-business, Discoverer and People)
  • Extensive IR knowledge including management of Right of Entry and dealing with unions
  • Previous experience in recruitment, compensation and benefits and global mobility
  • Previous experience working within a shared services operating model
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of employment legislation including workplace investigations, grievances, disciplinary cases and terminations
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Proven ability to develop a good understanding of business issues / commercial awareness and how to identify and deliver P&O interventions and solutions to meet business needs
  • Excellent customer service and client facing skills
  • Effective people management and relationship building skills
