Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking expression of interest from Materials / Logistics Coordinators to join our PNG team on a FIFO rotational basis. Reporting to the Materials / Logistics Lead, the successful candidate will ensure that required materials are issued to site in line with project requirements, through liaising with construction manager and logistics provider.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with Wood Supply Chain procedures
  • Timely issuing and management of required materials to job sites
  • Arranging in country material movement from PNG suppliers where required
  • Ensuring Goods Receipts in Procurement system and allocation to warehouse location
  • Ensure adequate systems tracking of material status whilst materials are in transit and at warehouse
  • Maintaining data integrity in Procurement & Materials systems
  • Assuring material deliveries aligned to inbound transport/supply schedules
  • Flexibility required, as some hands-on warehousing duties will be required.

Skills / Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience within the Oil & Gas or similar industry
  • 3+ years’ experience in materials / logistics coordination
  • Varied and detailed work experience in the industry and sound knowledge of Logistics and warehouse processes & procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound understanding of legislative requirements
  • Ability to relate to a multi-cultural workforce
  • Locally respected and recognised with highest degree of integrity
  • Business software competency (MS Office/Oracle/VPRM)
  • Proven organisation skills
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
