Overview / Responsibilities

To perform planned maintenance, trouble shooting, commissioning, inspections, repairs and overhauls onsite equipment and systems as directed by the Operations Supervisor (Maintenance) in accordance with government and company regulations and Apache core expectations.  

  • Perform planned maintenance, trouble shooting, inspections, repairs and overhauls on plant, equipment and systems in line with site activity plans and in accordance with government regulations and company procedures
  • Operate and maintain all facility and life-support equipment.
  • Inputs into the planning cycle as requested by the Supervisor.
  • Carries out isolations and plant preparation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Take an active role in production up and costs down by developing and implementing new ideas, learning’s and smarter practices in line with Aim Up initiative.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment and workshop equipment to a high standard.
  • Utilise the Maintenance Management System to properly document and accurately report all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, adjustments and inspections.
  • Assist in the training of apprentices / trainees.
  • Promote improvement to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on site.
  • Comply with the site environmental policies and procedures and actively promote environmental improvements.
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the line management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and in the incumbent is capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.
  • Emergency response duties as defined in the site Emergency Response procedures.
  • When required, deputise for Operations Supervisor (Maintenance) if deemed competent and capable to fulfill the role.

Skills / Qualifications


  • Recognized technical apprenticeship
  • Relevant tertiary maintenance / engineering qualification or level 3 VQ (or equivalent) desired
  • Any other discipline specific training or qualifications that are deemed required for the role
