Overview / Responsibilities

Wood are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager on a staff basis. The Maintenance Manager will set the standards and expectations to the Wood Maintenance Delivery Team and support them in demonstration of the Wood core values of Courage, Care and Commitment. This is a site based role in Immingham.

 

Their key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Provide Line Management for Team Leaders, Schedulers and Planners.
  • Leadership in HSSEA and Quality in Delivery,
  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment by promoting and embedding the Safety Shield
  • Promote HSSEA awareness and ensure that all Project HSSEA requirements are implemented and adhered to.
  • Responsible for ensuring all works are completed on schedule and as per quality requirements.
  • Support the development of and implement the Maintenance Quality Plan and direct resources to ensure scopes are completed to contract specification and requirements.
  • Responsible for Continuous Improvement activities on site and for fully embedding the lean philosophy into all activities.
  • Implement Lessons Learned effectively and demonstrate outputs.
  • Drive a culture of zero defects.
  • Manage the creation and development of the Maintenance Baseline Schedule.
  • Responsible for ensuring Early Work progress and performance are on schedule and as planned.
  • Ownership of key activities and deliverables to include Accuracy of Integrated Schedule, High Quality Product, Change Management, Risk Register and for the Maintenance Delivery team.
  • Identify and lead interface management with HSSEA / Operations on the Project.
  • Review and provide input on staffing and skill levels for all maintenance personnel at site.
  • Ensure that appropriate competency levels are maintained, and that relevant training and development is provided for employees.
  • Provide early warning notification of any potential commercial / schedule risk or opportunity to the Operations Manager for further action.
  • Effective Change Management by ensuring that variation requests, contract amendment requests and claims are submitted in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Development of recovery plans where required to ensure Wood maintain required progress and deliver the required productivity.
  • Input into key Project Documents and reports including general input to all volumes of Project Management Plan, Review and input to Contract Documents, Project, Health, Safety and Environmental Plans and Progress Reports to the customer.
  • Ensure Roles and Responsibilities are clear and approved for direct Reports and ensure that Project Objectives are clearly communicated.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Delivery Team morale and enthusiasm, by close contact with team members and Weekly team Meetings.
  • Monitoring and control of project performance schedule, and quality and safety requirements using appropriate control tools.
  • Ensuring that projects operate in accordance with Wood policies and procedures.

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in oil & gas desirable
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager essential
