Overview / Responsibilities

rhi (trading locally as QED International) is currently looking for Lead Welding Engineer to join our client NCOC in Atyrau (for locals/kazakh passport holders).

• Participate to the project teams tasked with the delivery of Production Systems
• Support the identification of the production critical data, its linking in to the production systems and its quality, reliability and integrity can be analyzed, maintained and safeguarded over life cycle
• Deliver training programs and training for new users of the Production Systems
• Assist in the delivery of the Production Systems Engineering support model
• Manages adequate team reporting on weekly and monthly planning & scheduling routines

 

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications - All Levels:
• Degree in science or engineering related disciplines (Control & Automation Engineer preferred) OR a degree in Information Technology
Experience:
Production Systems Engineer (Level II):
• Minimum 3 years production professional with a background in either of production / maintenance operations, asset management and an affinity for Operations Management Systems, work practices and systems, or an IT professional with a strong affinity and demonstrable experience with (Surface) Production Engineering business processes, work processes and related application suite
• Preferably has operational experience, including stakeholder management
• Previous working experience with Osisoft PI or one of the other standard production systems in an operating unit environment will be preferred. Alternatively an incumbent with a recognized super user status in one of the standard production systems can fulfill this requirement as well
• Previous working experience in the project implementation of Osisoft PI in an operating unit environment will be a key requirement
• Previous working experience in a Production Applications Real-time support team is a major advantage
• Exposure to both onshore sour gas processing and offshore operations and/or project experience will be of an advantage. In addition, experience in working in remote field locations (e.g. desert, tropical, arctic environments) would be an advantage. Having previous experience working in a high concentration H2S environment would be desirable
• Knowledge/awareness of Control Room operations is an advantage
