Overview / Responsibilities

Wood (trading locally as PSN KazStroy) is currently recruiting for IM Data Management - Expression of interestwith extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry (KZ passport holders)


The following are the key area of expertise required to successfully execute Information Management (IM) Data activities on the project and any associate brownfield scope that includes tagging and data gathering and Handover:

Data Management:

Knowledge of the source of functional (Design) and physical (Supplier) data attributes and collection methodologies

Experience working with a client’s Master Class Library (MCL) and defining validation rules to ensure the quality/correctness of data collected

Understanding of the hard (physical) and soft (signal) tags and their impact on the requirements defined in the MCL

Managing the process of delivering data to the client on a progressive delivery to client’s systems including Handover of data against priorities defines to support site activities e.g. Commissioning, MC etc.

Understanding of ‘tag to document’ data collection and why this is required by the client

Knowledge of document scraping/mining techniques utilizing systems to automatically create ‘tag to document’ cross references

Experience with content management (QA of Supplier data) is an advantage but not essential

Tag Management: 

Experience of working with a sophisticated tagging structure and hierarchy on a multi discipline and multi contractor project Ability to understand how the clients Numbering & Coding specification impacts the use of the tag number on Design and Supplier documentation.  Understanding of the process from initial tag request through to deploying on project deliverables

Ability to support tag number checking on Design and Supplier deliverables

Experience with comparing data sources including documentation to identify tagging inconsistencies

Experience with vendor DCTs and required templates for FGP

Site Data Queries (SDQs)

Knowledge of tagging and data related queries raised by various parties to support the Fabrication, Mechanical Completion and Commissioning activities e.g. Site Data Queries or similar

Skills / Qualifications

Experience and qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years working with data collection from Engineering Design and Suppliers, its validation and handover to client systems in a multi discipline and multi contractor environment

Experience working with key stakeholders including high level co-ordination skills

The successful candidate must be able to competently present Data requirements and be able to report progress to these stakeholders

Previous experience in Oil and Gas projects essential

Previously experience working with a Main Automation Contractor (MAC) would be beneficial but not essential

Education: Relevant degree  but  experience undertaking a data related role is more important
