Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking to hire a Contracts Manager responsible for the overall commercial management of the PMC contract for the upcoming project in Kuwait.



  • Prepare and issue monthly WOOD Commercial Executive Project Report
  • Maintain WOOD contract commercial records and files
  • Ensuring Assigned Projects are appropriately resourced
  • Review all subcontracts prior to and after award by WOOD to financial closure
  • Manage commercial aspects of Intercompany Trading Agreements to financial closure
  • Set contractual direction for Assigned Project Commercial Administrators
  • Direct client EPC contract preparation
  • Direct commercial aspects of client EPC contract tender evaluation and award
  • Direct EPC contract variations and claims to resolution
  • Maintain Other Direct Costs log and reports
  • Participate in key client reviews and meetings as required
  • Participate in weekly WOOD Assigned Project reviews
  • Participate in Project Management Plan reviews
  • Update and prepare department procedures and work practices as appropriate
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction concerning all facets of contract administration
  • Create and sustain a good contract team spirit within the WOOD contract administration team
  • Conduct annual staff appraisals and recommend salary reviews for the department

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum BSc Engineering or equivalent
  • Qualified as Certified Contracts Manager by professional association
  • Minimum fifteen years' post graduate experience
  • Minimum eight years' experience in the oil & gas, refining and petrochemical industries
  • Minimum five years’ experience in the designation
  • Minimum two years’ experience with Wood in a similar position
  • Minimum five years’ experience in the Middle East
