Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join our team in our growing Melbourne Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Subcontracts Lead, you will perform a full range of contracting activities on behalf of a major global oil & gas client.



  • Managing the pre-award process of supplier qualification, tendering and negotiation for various types of service contracts
  • Ensuring contracts are awarded as per Wood and client requirements
  • Working with the project management teams to manage supplier performance issues
  • Partnering with site teams to ensure suppliers deliver value for the client
  • Performing post-award administration
  • Conducting commercial audits of subcontractors

Skills / Qualifications

  • Commercially astute with solid experience in developing and managing contracts with global suppliers
  • Strong understanding of various contracting models, particularly in the oil & gas industry
  • Degree qualified in business, engineering or commerce, or similar discipline, with at least 8 years of resources industry experience
  • CIPS qualifications are advantageous
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in Oracle, or SAP is preferred
