Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Consultant - Civil & Structural on part time basis with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.


Responsibilities includes but not limited to the below details:

  • Provide technical support and governance to projects via the Lead Civil & Structural Engineer including dissemination and implementation of discipline and best practice
  • Provide technical direction for the Civil Engineering discipline and act as technical focus of civil issues for the department including project setup, strategic engineering direct, butt lists and close out
  • Develop, implement and maintain technical training in support of the Civil Engineering Discipline training plan
  • Prime contact for affiliate offices in providing technical support and development in their specialist field
  • Develop and mentor discipline technical staff and provide input to Manager, Civil & Structural on succession plan
  • Keep up to date with latest industry practices, standards and product development disseminate to Civil Engineering Discipline


Skills / Qualifications

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering (Essential)
  • Membership to Professional Organizations (Desirable)
  • A minimum of 25 years of experience in Civil & Structural Engineering environment with lead role in project execution (Essential)
  • Ability to lead very large teams in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment (Essential)
  • Proven expertise in FEED and EPC Engineering execution including Field Engineering in Project execution (Desirable)
