Wood is currently looking for Consultant / Principal Vibration Engineer (Piping/Static Equipment) to be based in Abu Dhabi on a permanent staff position.   Consultant / Principal Engineer role within the Wood VDN (Vibration, Dynamics and Noise) Specialist Engineering Group based in the Abu Dhabi office. The primary role is to provide piping and static equipment vibration consultancy services to oil and gas operators in the Middle East. The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:   Office based elements: - Act as focal point and team lead for day-to-day field and static equipment related activities for the Abu Dhabi VDN team. - Leading Energy Institute Guideline Qualitative and Quantitative vibration screening assessments of process plant. - Leading Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV) stage 1, 2 and 3 assessments. Including detailed simulation using Finite Element Analysis. - Leading Flow Induced Vibration (FIV) studies.
