Wood is recruiting for a Senior Construction Engineer (PMS) to join our team initially in Brunei on the BSP Facilities Rejuvenation Project. This project aims to rejuvenate 79 offshore platforms to ensure ongoing production for the next 25 years. The project will run over a five - year period with a possible two - year extension. Wood has many years of experience in carrying such projects all over the world and it is our intention to bring our world class systems to this project.   The Senior construction engineer (PMS) will be responsible to the Construction Manager and a direct report to the Construction Lead for the onshore preparation and execution phases of the construction work associated with specific multidiscipline campaigns. They will develop and monitor the ongoing campaign construction work plans and ensure all work is carried out in a safe and productive manner in accordance with approved budget, schedule, quality, safety, health and environmental requirements in the line with company and client procedures. This is an end to end rejuvenation scope and as such, will involve interfacing with other disciplines such as, planning, construction, procurement, HVEC and client operations.   The successful candidate will be expected to work in a multidiscipline team environment where the overall success of the project is paramount. Wood is looking at a right first - time approach and as such, we are looking for candidates who can rise to a challenge and are interested in being part of an innovative and driven team.   - Be conversant with the project HSSE plan and implement the HS&E procedures ensuring the health and safety of construction personnel - Ensure that constructability is inherent within the design by being involved at the early stage of work scope engineering, in accordance with company and project policies and procedures - Conduct offshore surveys with design engineering team and provide constructability inputs - Input to construction network reviews and scheduling, identifying resources / vendors / tools and equipment etc. requirements - Assess effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personnel, and team performances - Engage with the completions team to appreciate the certification matrix requirements prior to workpack issue - Contribute to the construction workpack development process in accordance with the agreed implementation procedures - Ensure contents of workpack meet with scope requirements including TRA’s, JMS, materials, Peer reviews, HAZID’s, ENVID’s, COSHH requirements - Input to the construction MOC process, raise and obtain approval for work scope growth job cards - Input to work scope estimates and register changes with supporting documentation - Ensure logic of work is updated on the construction execution plan and supporting systems - Review and ensure that completions ITR’s are optimized and are suitable for execution offshore - Review and comment on LOSH associated with their own discipline - Liaise with offshore management team and trade supervision on work execution plans and progress; Liaise with project engineers to ensure priorities are maintained for work preparation and execution; Liaise with commissioning engineers, vendors, and sub - contractors to maximize the opportunities for accessing available systems - Monitor design delivery dates, report on work pack progress and monitor activities with regards to completion dates - Check executed work packs prior to handover to completions, raise punch lists if appropriate; Manage punch - list action register, and monitor punch - list closeouts after handover - Review completion certification and ‘as - build’ drawings and identify competencies and resource requirements for construction management engineering and trades

This includes the creation of all Work Control Certificates (WCC). - Read, understand, and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the WCC created are completed safely and to a high standard. - Will attend the required permit vision mandatory training and be required to achieve the required authorizations from BSP Operations. - Be familiar and efficient in the use of the computer - based tool commonly referred to as Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW) provided for issuing of Work Permits and in case of system unavailability, the paper - based version. - Ensure all WCC are in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings / sketches - Liaising closely with the Area Authority (AA) & Performing Authority (PA) when planning WCCs to ensure all the appropriate mechanical / process / electrical hazards and controls have been identified for that task - Ensuring that the appropriate level of risk assessment has been carried out for the task, i.e., Level 1 or Level 2 RA - Ensure that all documentation associated with the WCC is attached; including but not limited to: Isolation Control Certificates, marked up drawings or P&IDs, Task Risk Assessment, COSHH Manual Handling Certificate and electrical safety documents (Electrical Permit to Work, Sanction for Test, Limitation of Access) - To advise and support construction personnel on the installation / site to ensure a greater awareness and safer operation of the system - Provide support to trades / disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi - discipline Risk Assessment Team. - Ensure applicable WCC is in order to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner. - Ensure appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) is in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner. - Read, understand, and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the (P.T.W.) work scope is completed safely and to a high standard. - Provide support to trades / disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi - discipline Risk Assessment Team. - Ensure applicable Permit to Work (PTW) is appropriate to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner. - Ensure Risk Assessments (RA) are appropriate to complete the work scope in a safe and controlled manner. We are looking for a consultant to join our Water Quality team to help deliver projects focusing on the surface water quality regulatory framework ranging from UK national and EU level to site specific assessments.    This is an exciting opportunity to join a team working on a wide range of projects at all scales from policy making to boots on the ground investigations.  Our Water Quality team are experts in developing solutions to challenges from diffuse and point source pollution. We provide an end to end service including design, conceptualisation, planning, risk assessment, risk mapping, source apportionment, contaminant fate and transport modelling, monitoring network design field-based monitoring, sampling and surveying.  We are experts in groundwater protection and in the development of catchment management evidence base, action plan and measures effectiveness assessment, as well as tool development for the UK water sector, Defra, DWI, Natural England, Natural Resources Wales, the Environment Agency, SEPA and Local Authorities. You will have a working knowledge of how the WFD is implemented in the UK, some experience of use of the industry standard SAGIS SIMCAT, as well as some experience in managing project or task delivery.    The location of this role is flexible, and we can offer locations across the UK, including London, Reading, Bristol, Shrewsbury, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Glasgow.     Key Responsibilities Your role will focus on delivering and supporting winning work for commercial and government customers.  This will include project management and client facing roles, as well water quality inputs to major infrastructure development projects as part of larger project teams.  You will also provide technical experience and help to develop the skills and expertise of more junior staff.  You will provide technical support to a variety of projects, often as part of multi-disciplinary teams, through the provision of data analysis and the development and implementation of models to simulate water quality, interpretation of model output and preparation of reports and presentations.  You will be a highly motivated, numerate candidate with excellent communication and report writing skills as well as an interest in water quality and numerical modelling.  You will have the ability to apply technical knowledge in analysing problems and finding solutions to new challenges.  Alongside project delivery, you will also lead and contribute to the preparation of winning proposals.  You will also play a key role in maintaining and building our technical knowledge and innovation base, keeping up to date with the latest policy and regulatory developments with respect to water quality and the water environment.

This may be provided within a deployed project context or as part of the central project controls team supporting the overall operation.   - Responsible for personal safety and working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood HSE processes - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood Quality Assurance systems and processes - Management, leadership, and development of the project estimating team in terms of delegating work, reviewing the work output of the team, and providing guidance and support - Effectively manage the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of the Estimating function - Attend Cost Estimate Kick - Off Meetings to obtain thorough understanding of Scope of Work and cost estimate requirements - Ensure cost estimates are prepared in accordance with Wood Cost Estimating Procedures and guidelines.
