Responsible for the management of the overall Kuwait HSEQ team. The primary role of the function is to ensure that all aspects of engineering, construction, completions, commissioning and handover work scope is completed inline with HSEQ requirements Demonstrate that all aspects of the contractor’s scope of work are compliant with Client and Wood specified HSEQ standards.   Responsibilities - Promote HSE leadership and commitment within client, Kuwait and contractor organizations specifically targeting senior management. - Ensuring the EPC contractors and their subcontractors have adequate Management Systems to manage the contract scope of work and they are compliant with client standards, regulations and HSE Management System. - Ensuring the contractor and their subcontractors can demonstrate they are fully compliant with client and their own processes and procedures. - Provide effective and practical HSEQ input into study, FEED, tender evaluation and contract action phases of projects to ensure HSEQ aspects of project execution are adequately considered via the HSEQ team. - Provide client mandatory and Wood HSE training as required, assess effectiveness and retraining where appropriate. - Ensuring contractor and their subcontractors have adequate and competent HSE and Q resources to effectively manage the contract scope of work through all phases. - Ensuring that construction hazards and risks are identified throughout all project phases and mitigation actions identified and fully implemented. Cascade information across assigned projects. - Ensuring that the Kuwait HSEQ team maintains efficient and effective communications between the Contractor and Kuwait ensuring that all reporting requirements are met. - Develop an integrated working relationship between contractor and PMC to enhance the HSEQ delivery. - Create a high level of communications across the HSEQ team to share knowledge, experience, best practice and lessons learnt. - Participate and or lead accident / incident investigations and report accordingly. Cascade lessons learnt across assigned projects. - Conduct analyses of HSE and quality date to identify trends and the required corrective actions. - Participate in key client reviews and meetings as required. - Participate in weekly Wood Assigned Project reviews. - Participate in Project Management Plan reviews. - Update and prepare department procedures and work practices as appropriate. - Conduct annual staff appraisals and recommend salary reviews for the department. - Develop Wood objectives and initiatives and measure performance.

Wood’s Renewables team is currently recruiting for a Senior Renewable Energy Consultant. The right candidate will join the Wind Advisory team, based predominantly in Glasgow.   The purpose of the role is to undertake specific tasks relating to delivery of various due diligence assignments, at the direction of/under the supervision of the project managers and/or team leaders.     Key responsibilities: - Assess renewable energy projects on behalf of lenders, investors and other project stakeholders. - Manage multi-discipline teams of engineers (and other technical staff) in the completion of due diligence assignments for exacting clients. - In the role of project manager: - Act as main interface and manage the relationship with clients. - Manage the financial performance of projects managed. - Deliver tasks on time, to budget and to the required standard. - Attend client meetings and undertake site visits within the UK and globally. - Represent the company at conferences and seminars in order to enhance personal knowledge and/or establish business development leads.. - Follow up on leads to generate fresh work. - Assist graduate engineers and less experienced team members. - Ensure continuing professional development.

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join our U.S. Government contracts and compliance team. This position provides essential value-added support across multiple business operations to pursue, negotiate, and administer US Government contracts with a wide range of Department of Defense and Civilian contracting agencies. Wood performs an exciting and diverse portfolio of architect-engineering, environmental consulting, and construction managements projects of varying sizes and durations around the world. Work Location: Open to any Wood office in the US and/or remotely based. Preference would be for the potential candidate to sit in a Wood office. This position promotes compliance with US Government contract requirements and corporate commercial policies and procedures covering such issues as tender governance, delegated authorities, contract management, surety bonds, and joint ventures. The successful candidate will be proactively engaged in the lifecycle of government contracts from the pre-award stage, including preparation of compliant proposals in response to solicitations showcasing the depth of Wood’s qualifications and experience, through the post-award stage, including change management, dispute resolution and timely close-out. This position regularly communicates various contract matters with project teams and Wood management. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of government contract requirements and be able to effectively guide project teams and Wood management through viable courses of action to secure contractual entitlement to time and money while mitigating or avoiding the risk of costly contractual disputes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in government contracts and understanding of complex architect-engineering, environmental consultancy and construction contracting. Duties entail managing the tender review process; conducting contract reviews and negotiations; performing contract administration activities, including contract close-out; handling surety bonds and contract-specific insurance requirements; advising on contract changes, requests for equitable adjustment, and dispute resolution; reviewing and negotiating teaming agreements, confidentiality agreements, and joint venture agreement; among other related activities.

Wood is seeking practical, engaged engineers and architects to join our busy Built Environment team in hands-on design and management roles.  We have a growing order book of predominantly publicly-funded projects from an established and growing client base and need committed and experienced professionals to help deliver it.   As a mid-career professional with a degree in engineering or architecture, you will be the lynchpin between understanding our clients’ needs and delivering our technical solution. You will lead project teams of in-house and supply chain specialists, responsible for all aspects of delivery including managing scope, risks, schedule, health and safety, and financial performance.   Working with a team of designers, engineers, planners and environmental experts, you must understand and challenge all aspects of the design process, including interpreting user requirements, applying technical standards, developing concept designs, technical report writing and presenting to clients and wider specialists.
