The role is described in outline below: - Manages, directs and supports others engaged in the full range of supply chain activities, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and relevant reporting requirements - Accountable to management for the successful set up and delivery of all projects supply chain processes, procedures and activities - Regularly monitors and reports department overhead (manhours and costs) in accordance with approved budgets, provides Approvals of Wood activities in line with Delegation of Authority and Supply chain Approval Matrix. - Along with Reading/Staines Operational Management participates in Execution reviews of projects - Via appropriate audit, review and intervention (if required), ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan / schedule and / or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project processes and procedures - Reviews project specific procurement execution plan from a point of expertise and / or contracting strategy, and contract schedule in line with project scope including the deployment and application of computerized systems - Establishes priorities, assigns workloads and reviews the more difficult and complex aspects of the supply chain workload - Ensure deployed teams undertake Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management of suppliers and subcontractors ensuring corrective actions are taken where required - Ensures that supply chain carry out all activity in accordance with the Wood Supply Chain Code of Conduct, ensures that all statutory and legal requirements and applicable processes and procedures are complied with, and all documents are filed accurately and fully auditable - Act as a role model to embed the Financial Management Framework across the business - Implement robust performance management and development plans for the team, ensuring any gaps are addressed and development and succession planning is managed effectively - Delivery against internal and external in year savings targets as per business plan - As part of the role you will need to lead the compilation of supply chain strategies and contribute to Proposal write ups and/or identify personnel to provide support for SCM proposal response efforts. - Provide adequate support to estimate to collect market prices for material and construction services. - Provide support to affiliates and other Business Groups (e.g. India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar)

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. - Ensure that the content and objective of the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Policy and the Information Security policies are implemented and understood by all supervised staff. - Fully accountable to GEC management for schedule, cost, quality, HSSE and performance of project team to deliver the project as per committed objectives -   - Review the proposal handover documentation, participates and ensure proposal handover is completed and takes ownership of contract execution. - Interpretation and implementation of contract. Any outstanding, ambiguous contractual issues are taken up with client and resolved. - Organise project set up activities. - Organise project team in consultation with Discipline / Departmental Managers. - Communicate the project objectives, scope, milestones, contract terms and conditions, budget to the project team. - Identify critical execution issues and prepare a look ahead schedule through Project control. - Act as a primary contact and maintain good customer relation and satisfaction. - Develop an execution strategy in consultation with Head – Projects. - Provide direction, leadership, control, monitor of project activities till completion and handover. - The Project Manager shall keep Head– Projects informed, seek his advice, guidance on critical issues, status, constraints while executing the project. The duties are inclusive but not limited to: - Organize kick off meeting with client/Lead entity (in work share Context). - Ensure following key project documents are made available/issued. - Project execution plan, Project coordination procedure and obtain endorsement - Project Risk Management Plan and Risk Register population / updates - Project procurement plan & contracting plan - Project budget. - Front end look ahead schedule. - Man power projection plan - Project technical specifications - Project Quality plan - Project HSE plan - Detailed schedule - Progress measurement and reporting - Ensure set up of document control system, distribution matrix, filing index, mail vault as per project requirement. - Establish change management system, monitor and control. - Coordinate, monitor and control of multi discipline activities through respective leads/Managers. - Review, monitor the progress and implement corrective /preventive actions. - Update man power projection plan on monthly basis and liaise with department managers for allocation of suitable resources. - Conduct periodic project review meetings with the project team. - Resolve, provide leadership in resolution of inter discipline conflicts and set priorities. - Ensure preparation of monthly project status reports, participate in Project review meetings including client review meetings. - Ensure team is motivated and promote an atmosphere for continuous improvement.
