Wood is currently looking to recruit a Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide specialist support to Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Projects in our Qatar office on a staff basis.   In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of project work, in accordance with the project execution plan including Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour, cost budgets and the project schedule targets.   The Principal Rotating Engineer will be responsible for the following activities: -  Overall Lead role for the project including liaison with client technical personnel. - Technical management of multi-location team in London, India and Qatar - Providing advice on the selection of rotating equipment - Specification of pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment, including drivers, seal and lube systems by preparing Technical Specifications and Mechanical Datasheet. - Preparation Enquiry Requisitions for budget pricing and for long lead items - Technical evaluation / clarification of supplier bids as required - Technical supervision of supplier design and control of supplier interface, plus the co-ordination of interfaces with other engineering disciplines - Review of Supplier documentation for integration within Project design, such as GA / Details / Calculations and Fabrication Procedures - Provide specialist input to design reviews, risk assessments and constructability reviews - Support Inspection and Testing of Equipment, attend testing for critical equipment - Support Construction and Commissioning phase - Technical support for installation and commissioning - Supervise less experienced mechanical engineers and, where required - To provide relevant knowledgeable practical skills in the response and actions for: - Site visits and site surveys - Site queries and discussions - Supplier, vendor, contractor, client and site related discussions - Site based activities

Principal Technical HSE Engineer   Wood is currently recruiting for a PSC to provide Technical Safety (Process Safety) Engineering services to our Operations business in Stockton on Tees, UK. The scope of work will last 12 months.   The Operations business delivers services to brownfield and greenfield projects across multiple sectors including Oil & Gas, refining, petrochemicals, bulk and fine chemicals and pharma along with emerging technologies such as Hydrogen and Carbon Capture. Our Technical Safety team also provides specialist support to other parts of the business including consultancy services and provision of independent safety review co-ordinators and facilitators.   Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: - Lead and deliver Technical Safety project activities and deliverables within quality, budget and schedule constraints - Support to projects on regulatory requirements including COMAH, DSEAR, PSR, PUWER, and CDM - Lead formal process safety assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL target setting, and other safety workshops - Carry out qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including Fire and Explosion Risk Assessments (FERA) and implement recommendations including, classified hazardous areas F&G detection, fire protection (active & passive) etc. - Develop safety engineering philosophies, design HSE plans, safety specifications, equipment specifications and monitor project/contractor/vendor compliance to these - Produce and review specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems - Provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline - Co-ordinate with other disciplines during the FEED - Attend client meetings and communicate issues with other engineers as required - Interact with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times - Adhere to, and comply with, relevant project, client and discipline specific procedures - Participate in audits and incident investigations as required - Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments - Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of process safety and environmental engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED - Provision of guidance and support on appropriate safety and environmental engineering - Awareness of international pipeline codes and standards

Wood is currently looking for an Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi office for a permanent contract.   The successful candidate must be able to: - Provide technical support to the Company on “Pipeline Engineering” issues related to both Offshore/Subsea and Onshore including installation of subsea cables and umbilical - Provide Pipeline Engineering support and Scope of Work for all projects executed by ETE Department - Ensure design optimization and application of correct international codes and standards in various Company’s projects and studies - Function as a good team member and cordially coordinate/interact with Company project management team, site personnel and various outside consultants for the successful and effective execution of the projects - Conduct feasibility / conceptual studies and in-house engineering for small / medium size green and brown field subsea Pipeline/Cable projects - Provide support to multi-discipline engineering team during various feasibility study, conceptual engineering including other phases of the project - Develop business cases, execution strategies and statement of requirements related to pipeline projects and provide suitable input on cable projects as well - Prepare scope of work for external consultants and contractors for the execution of Pipeline and cable jobs - Review of bid documents, technical proposals including CTR submitted by various Consultants for the execution of intended scope It also involves providing response to qualifications / exceptions and exclusions as part of the bidding process - Review the design works/studies performed by Consultants and ensure compliance to Company’s requirements, technical aspects in conjunction with international/industry standards - Review and approve drawings, specifications and technical documents for all Pipeline design and Cable routing/installation works - Prepare material requisition for pipeline and associated fittings as stipulated in the scope - Carry out technical evaluation of engineering consultants based on set criteria by the PMT - Participate in the technical evaluation of proposals and issuance of recommendations - Review the performance of engineering contractors/consultants and provide necessary design inputs and follow up during the execution of the project - Ensure state-of-art technology is applied throughout the engineering phase for cost effective and optimum solutions including application of value added engineering throughout assigned works - Participate in Pre-qualification of engineering consultants/vendors including review of bidders list - Participate in HAZOP / HAZID / Risk Assessment sessions and provide necessary input to other HSE related design reviews/audits - Provide input/update Company’s Engineering Procedures, Standards, Technical Specifications, Design Philosophies and other Guidelines - Participate in site surveys of Company facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements - Provide technical assistance, coordination and liaise with other departments/business units within the Company on all aspects covering technical and general requirements - Participate in pipeline and cable installation related activities including witnessing on the barge - Assist in recruitment of pipeline engineers for the Company
