Wood is currently looking for a number of Commissioning Engineers to be based on site in Teesside.   The individuals will report functionally to the Chief Engineer - Process Operations Support Services (POSS) and on the project to the Project POSS Lead. Scope will also include input to planning activity, provision of design input, 3D models review participation, etc.   Sound technical knowledge coupled with leadership and decision - making skills are required to ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets. You will be confident in your ability to deliver COMT scope for a project on time and within budget, whilst supporting other disciplines to achieve the same.   - Accountable to ensure that contractors adhere to the contractual pre-commissioning scope of work through PEI’s, Client standards, Plant Readiness Program (PRP) requirements etc. - Ensure Contractors adhere to the guidance provided by general pre-commissioning procedures - Responsible to evaluate and approve the MOD forms for completeness from a pre-commissioning perspective (ensuring appropriate documents are available etc.) - Responsible to evaluate and approve method statements from Construction contractor, Mechanical Contractor, E&I contractor responsible to conduct pre-commissioning activities - Ensure that Risk Assessed Method Statements are adequately reviewed and assessed prior commencement of pre-commissioning activities - Permit to work is available for the scope of work to be conducted - Control measures in place as per risk assessment for the scope - Ensure pre-commissioned systems are not violated by daily site visits, inspection of applied commissioned stickers etc. - Liaise with Contractor to ensure applicable resources, tools, equipment are available from the CC, MC, E&I Contractors, Vendors to conduct the pre-commissioning activity as per the Pre-commissioning work instruction. - Lead and ensure the acceptable criteria for the activity is met, and validate acceptance by key Client/Wood representative - Ensure that the GoTechnology completion dossier is adequately addressed on each pre-commissioning activity (e.g. the ITR’s, associated punch listing and accepted signatories are reviewed for completeness) - Lead and participate on daily construction / pre-commissioning meetings with multidiscipline contractors – to ensure the pre-commissioning activity planning is well understood by all supporting parties - Participate in Interface meetings involving interdependencies of pre-commissioning systems to align activity and acceptance criteria between Contractors (ensure the pre-commissioning system requirements is addressed in its entirety) - Participate in safety toolbox talks – focusing on day’s activities and ensure all parties are aligned and well informed - Participate in Hazard study 4 / 5 (includes PSSR) and address actions where applicable. - Participate in walkdown of system offered for Construction completeness, Mechanical completion, PSSR where required - Report on pre-commissioning status to the project – input to Project Controls - Initiate and respond to Technical Queries regarding pre-commissioning activities or scope that requires formal acceptance - Liaise with Client Commissioning team on priority and sequence of pre-commissioning systems and ensuring the commissioning system limits are not breached/encroached - Initiate and evaluate if Change Flag’s are to be raised where there’s a change to the pre-commissioning scope - Work closely with Turnover on pre-commissioning notifications – check/review for completeness (eg. Assess for correct attachments where applicable) - Review & verify scope of contractual scope of third-party contractors for critical activities eg. chemical cleaning etc. - Liaise with vendors on scope of work and schedule and ensure integrated with project plans - Participate in SIMOPS sessions – identify the critical activities and ensure contractors adhere to risk mitigating actions
