Wood is currently recruiting for a Permit To work / Operations Co-ordinator. , for a new build offshore FPSO project located in the East Mediterranean working on a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotational basis.    The position is to support the offshore HUC and start up phase of the project and is initally for a 6-12 month period, starting immediately.    We are supporting the development of an offshore field to support bringing gas to the market by 2022. The development of the fields shall be undertaken using a new-build, spread-moored gas FPSO unit to process gas and associated liquids from subsea wells.  Dry pipeline spec gas will be produced and piped through a gas export line to an onshore facility while the recoverable liquids will be tandem offloaded into tankers from the FPSO.  The final subsea infrastructure will include three development wells.   The project will support with the preparation, start up and subsequent operation and maintenance of the deepwater gas development.   The role will support the operation, providing timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to control of work, Company Policy and Management System and FPSO Operational requirements.   Coordinates the implementation of the Client Permit to Work system programs to raise awareness of risks and to reduce, avoid and protect employees from hazards in the workplace, including occupational illness and disease. Participates in HSE behavioural programs to maintain and improve the general health and safety of all employees working within the project. Involvement in all areas of Operations for the project and the function.     KEY ACCOUNTABLILTIES:   -   Operational: - Manage the Offshore Permit to Work (PTW) program, including the preparation / issuance of permits, further site monitoring with respect to compliance to procedures and PTW requirements. - In conjunction with the OIM facilitate the integration of new work tasks from the integrated asset plan and monitor ongoing tasks. In conjunction with department heads coordinate progress and act as the single point of contact for the asset planning team. - Ensure procedures, systems and equipment are in place to enable the contractors to perform work safely - Contribute to a high standard of HSE performance by following HSE standards at all times, including the prompt reporting of any safety or environmental hazards or incidents. - Maintain proper records of all permits and associated certificates raised in connection with operation and project construction activities, including Risk Assessments, Long Term Isolations, etc. - Audit the permit to work activities to ensure those activities are being conducted in accordance with Onshore PTW requirements. - Participate in daily shift handover meetings, Tool Box Talks, safety meetings and risk assessments - Assist in Incident Reports, investigation, identify 'Root Cause' and close out. - Coordinate with Department heads in scheduling and execution of all shutdown jobs to plan and enable isolations. - Participate in offshore weekly planning meetings and coordinate close out of all assigned actions - Participate and contribute to update asset documentation such as P&ID's, layout drawings, and punch lists. - Conduct site inspections, particularly high risk activities that should be checked daily for adherence to PTW requirements - Ensure timely registration of permits to avoid delays in work. - Perform administrative tasks as delegated by the OIM - Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained. - Act as part of the ERT as designated - Champion offshore initiative to improve HSE compliance and Production efficiency - Co ordinate and where required undertake all PTW training - Lead training including FPSO emergency response drills and exercises. - Ensure that proper safety induction briefings are conducted for all new personnel. - Review training and emergency preparedness of the O & M department personnel. - Regularly review emergency drills and emergency response procedures for the department. - Advise OIM on environment, health and safety and training issues pertaining to ERT - Act as FPSO site co-ordinator for MOC activities relating to procedures.

Wood is currently recruiting for a lead  Electrical Designer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar sector of the industry to provide support to our Client in the execution of projects.    Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: - Review project schedules on assigned projects with the lead Electrical Engineer to see that all dates, rates of progress and design periods are realistic. - Prepare and approve drawing index for electrical drawings, indicating planned issue date for each deliverable - Design and mark – up drawings as appropriate (e.g. substation layouts, lighting, earthing etc) to a suitable level of detail - Comment on other discipline documents - Produce MTO and bulk material requisitions and prepare technical bid evaluations - Ensure design quality, technical content and technical accuracy of electrical drawings on assigned projects - Check and approve electrical drawings where he / she is authorised to sign - Comment on supplier documents where applicable - Attends plot plan and model reviews - Assist the lead electrical engineer with contract works information - Prepare installation contract bill of materials on assigned projects - Advise the Principal Electrical Designer of any slippages / deviations and their causes and proposed corrective action. - Advise the Principal Electrical Designer of any technical problems and unresolved differences with other groups - Assist the lead electrical engineer with estimates, progress assessment and control of manpower on assigned projects - Advise the Principal Electrical Designer of any concerns with manpower or performance of electrical design staff - Input cable data in to electrical database and issue cable schedules and / or termination schedules - Keep informed of the latest developments in CAD software and other packages relevant to the electrical design discipline - Understand the fundamentals and be able to operate the basic functions of a CAD package - Assist when required in preparation of proposals. - Give guidance / training to Electrical Designers where required. - Run macros for conversion of drawings prior to issue - Attend discipline specific and general training courses where required - Deputise for the Principal Electrical Designer when requested

There is no rotation associated with this position and as such, we can only consider applications from local Iraqi nationals residing in Basra and surrounding areas : - To have single - point responsibility for all Safety and Risk  design deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures - Coordination of Safety  team and reporting to Project or Engineering Manager on project related matters - Supporting the Planning, scheduling and execution of discipline activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating and schedule preparation to support bid / tendering as required.  - Manage discipline work to the required schedule and manpower allocation, including requesting personnel as identified by the plan, and day-to-day supervision of discipline personnel on the project. This includes approval of timesheets, holiday approval and overtime approval where delegated. - Manage and report progress of all S&R engineering and design budgets in line with contract requirements including weekly and cumulative productivity. - Ensure that all project Health, Safety and Environmental policies are complied with - Ensure that design meets all Technical Safety requirements and maintains risks to as low as reasonably practicable - Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required and experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies and other HSE workshops - Management of third party HSE consultants in the execution of engineering delivery / HSE workshops - Facilitation of Risk assessment, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies (upon demand) - Preparation of Tender Bid Evaluations and assessment of bids for procured fire and safety equipment, participate in vendor meetings - Able to interrogate and review 3rd party HSE studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc., as required - Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling using PHAST (or similar) - Carry out and manage Consequence analysis (Dispersion, discharge, radiation, explosion, etc.) - Performance of Emergency Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Studies - Fire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similar, Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings, Preparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage etc. - Self - awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments - Expert knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start - up - Expert knowledge of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes - Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling as required - Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start - up - To identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / or quality and recommend corrective actions as required - To attend weekly internal and external  progress meetings and generate status reports for the Engineering / Project Manager - To ensure all team members are competency assessed and maintain the competency of the team in line with company and Client requirements - Define minimum acceptance criteria and Undertake pre-qualification of third parties - Define scope of work for 3rd Party sub contracts as required. - Liaise and engage with Licensors, Equipment Vendors and OEM’s as required to conclude the project deliverables in accordance with the project scope and provide third party budget costs for stage gate estimates as required. - Review of Vendor Documents on Detailed Engineering Projects - Provide input to EPC scope of work and EPC Tender Package for EXECUTE stage - To co - ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre - commissioning, and start – up to ensure there is no conflict within the overall engineering design. - To provide technical support to site in terms of material inspection, Factory Acceptance Testing etc. as required - Ensure compliance with management of change processes both technical and financial - To provide direction and guidance on technical queries relating to S&R engineering and raise appropriate EQ’s / deviations - To participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary - To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule - To liaise with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion whilst ensuring that the project is concluded within the boundary of the technical scope - Take ownership for Risk Identification, Assessment, Mitigation, Monitoring and Close Out for your respective discipline
