Wood is currently recruiting for an E&I Onshore Support Lead Engineer with extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
The position is based onshore in Equatorial Guinea, based within the onshore client facility providing support to the client offshore operations and maintenance activities.
The existing offshore facilities comprise of an FPSO, several fixed structures and several floating structures. Subsea wells are tied back to the FPSO for processing, storage and offtake. Subsea and dry tree wells are processed on the floating and fixed structures. Stabilized crude is pumped from the fixed and floating structures to the FPSO for storage and offtake.
The position is rotational, working a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off rotation.
The Electrical and Instrument Engineer is the in-country Asset focal point and technical authority for all electrical equipment, and in liaison with the Automation Engineer, all instrument equipment. The position is responsible for refining established, and creation of new, maintenance procedures to enable the offshore maintenance teams to perform effective maintenance on all electrical and instrumentation equipment. The position is required to provide engineering support from design through completion for minor modifications and be the focal point of any dialogue for major engineering projects, as part of the client’s Management of Change process. About the role:

- You will lead the day-to-day execution of a client project while guiding and developing individual team members. You’ll work directly with clients and you’ll take ownership of the overall project and its end products. Responsibilities
- Review and understand all relevant project documentation including scope of services, project execution plan, proposal/project schedule (including manpower projection plan), WBS, conditions of contract
- Development, maintenance and monitoring of schedules and associated documents

- Responsible for the design of underground and over ground drainage systems and networks, develop drainage design solution, capable of terrain modelling, conduct flood risk studies, preparation of earthwork and site preparation design
- Responsible for assessing design of existing underground and over ground drainage systems and networks, develop drainage design solution
- Responsible for carrying our design studies and preparing project related design calculations, drawings and documents such as basis of design, philosophies, specifications, etc.
- Responsible for reviewing, checking and commenting drawings and supervise designers in the preparation of Drawings in accordance with Wood and Client technical work practises and standards
- Responsible for ensuring that all design activities are carried out within stipulated Man-hour budgets and time schedules
