Wood is currently recruiting for a Electrical Designer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar sector of the industry to provide support to our Client in the execution of projects.based in Secunda.    Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: - Design and mark – up drawings as appropriate (e.g. substation layouts, lighting, earthing etc.) to a suitable level of detail - Comment on other discipline documents - Produce MTO and bulk material requisitions and prepare technical bid evaluations - Ensure design quality, technical content and technical accuracy of electrical drawings on assigned projects - Comments on supplier documents where applicable - Prepare installation contract bill of materials on assigned projects - Input cable data in to electrical database and issue cable schedule and / or termination schedules - Keep informed on the latest developments in CAD software and other packages relevant to the electrical design discipline - Understand the fundamentals and be able to operate the basic functions of a CAD package - Run macros for conversion of drawings prior to issue - Attend discipline specific and general training courses where required.

Wood is currently recruiting for a Contracts Lead whose role will be to assist the Project’s Managers in the management of the Contract with specific focus on potential contractual issues with Clients and/or erection subcontractors. Typical areas of involvement will be the request of contract changes, contractual management of delays and associated possible claims and contractual issues, contract’s related correspondence with Clients and with erection subcontractors. The role, based in Milan, will suit a Contract / Claim Lead with a proven record of 4/5 years of experience in similar position.   Responsibilities:    - Execute in-depht analysis of the Contract and advise Project Manager / Project team of the key critical contents in terms of time for notices, Client’s obligations, applicable remedies, delay liquidated damages, liabilities etc. - Be well informed of the development of the Project and the status of Contract Changes for the Project under execution. S/He will attend periodic project reviews to be informed of the project status at all times - Provide the necessary support to Project Director to conveniently document the actions or activities that contractually require it - Prepare project correspondence (in / out from / to) Subcontractors and Client in regard to contractual relevant topics - Actively participate, in coordination with relevant Project specialists, in meetings with Subcontractors - Interface with Project Control function in regard to time impact and delay analysis - Prepare claims / Contract Changes requests - Provide support to the Project Director by preparing presentations and providing back up information until the resolution of any claim and / or Contract Changes - Provide support to the Project Director in managing the claims received from Subcontractors - Interface and coordinate with Legal dpt for legal support whenever required

In this role the sucessful candidate will provide a complete planning service to the project management team, that has proven expertise in managing large, complex projects with a global reach. Responsibiltiies - Development of detailed schedules in conjunction with the project team - Development of progress measurement systems and reporting of progress and productivity - Co-ordination of schedule interfaces between clients' and epc contractors' activities - Provide regular forecasting of project schedule including key milestones - Lead regular schedule review meetings with the project team, clients and subcontractors - Production of weekly and monthly progress reports to the project management team
