Wood is recruiting a Piping Designer to join our team in Manila. Wood has many years of experience in carrying such projects all over the world and it is our intention to bring our world class systems to this project. Successful applicants will be responsible for the execution and delivery of the Piping Design. This will include the use of relevant software such as PDMS, preparing fabrication and installation drawings. All design work will be carried out in a 3D CAD environment. This is an end - to - end rejuvenation scope and as such, will involve interfacing with other disciplines like, planning, construction, procurement, HVEC and client operations.   You will be expected to work in a multidiscipline team environment where the overall success of the project is paramount. Wood is looking at a right first - time approach and as such, we are looking for candidates who can rise to a challenge and are interested in being part of an innovative and driven team. - Execute all Piping Engineering Design activities - Maintain technical integrity - Deliver and support a strong HSE culture - Work within budget and schedule limits - Assist other disciplines to achieve their goals - Support Management where required - Drive innovative solutions to reduce cost and schedule - Participate in relevant meetings, such as HAZID, Design Reviews, Model Review and PEER Reviews - Take full cognizance of Health, Safety and Environmental issues - Liaise and interact with other disciplines to ensure overall project goals are met - Advise management of variations in a timely manner - Utilize suitable technology to increase efficiency - Ensure all work reflects the context of a Brownfield Rejuvenation Project - Support the Lead Structural Engineer supervising younger Designers and Draughts persons - Support training requirements for Design team members - Ensure all deliverables are aligned with company and client procedures and national standards - Keep up to date with latest procedures, client requirements and legislation

Wood currently has a requirement in our Design HSE team for a Principal Technical Safety Engineer to work on an agency contractor basis in our Staines office on a specific project for the next 12 months.   We are currently looking for professionals with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to ensure that Wood continues to differentiate itself from its competitors by delivering quality projects to our client’s requirements. Responsibilities include: - Use techniques, spreadsheets, databases and proprietary software as necessary to perform safety study assessments and generate project deliverable documents, including production, checking and approval as required - Preparation of design deliverables including philosophies, reports, studies, specifications, data sheets, drawings, etc whilst following all applicable operational procedures - Coordinating and liaison with other engineering disciplines as necessary in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring that other disciplines’ input is incorporated - Ensure compliance with relevant specifications as well as applicable national/ international regulations, codes and standards - Responsible for the review and approval of vendor documentation as applicable to the discipline - Ensuring Purchasing and Estimating Departments have technical information for obtaining costs and availability of Technical Safety equipment and materials - Maintain effective interfaces between the Technical Safety project team and other disciplines’ teams, Client representatives and other third parties as required - Represent the Technical Safety discipline internally and externally on design issues they are involved in - Provide progress reporting and forecasting input to the Lead Technical Safety Engineer as required - Follow standard working procedures and ensure that compliance with relevant QA/QC systems is achieved
