The CS develops, maintains, and optimizes relationships with the Business Units (Project Owners & Requestors,) and serves as an internal coach for junior members of the contracting team, and helps them develop the right skills. Candidates in this position must be capable of drafting and negotiating Contracts/Call Off orders for different scopes of work ensuring Company’s best legal & commercial interests are maintained while remaining competitive in the market. Finally, the Contracts Specialist (CS) issues contract reports to management to provide clarity on the status of all contracts   Duties & Responsibilities;   Company HSE & Values: - Work in manner that does not compromise the safety of people, the environment, or Company equipment. - Behave in a manner that is aligned to and that promotes Company’s mission, vision, and values. - Understand and abide by Company Safety Policies and Values. Procurement & Contracts Leadership - Lead the implementation of Company’s procurement Policies, Processes and Procedures   Drafting of Contracts - The CS shall be capable of drafting commercial agreements for the provision of services and supply of goods. - The CS shall be capable and experienced in the negotiation of T&Cs for Oil Industry (MSA & CA) contracts. Contracts Analysis and Reports - The CS shall be able to thoroughly analyze different type of contracts for the full understanding of its clauses. - The CS shall also be able to extract specific clauses when needed as well as issue different types of reports. Sourcing Event Administration - The CS shall issue & manage different types of sourcing events including RFQs, Tenders, Direct Negotiations - The CS shall coordinate sourcing activities with the support of other departments, HSE, Operations, etc. Customer and Supplier Relationship Management - The CS shall actively build and maintain relationships with internal clients, contractors, and suppliers. - The CS shall be able to execute SRM activities including KPIs setting, performance evaluation meetings, etc. - The CS is the contracts and sourcing SME and shall be able to provide expert advice on contracting matters. Key Working Relations o Maintain - With Business Units (Departments and Internal Clients)   In addition to the above the CS may be required to execute additional tasks as required by the P&C Team Lead and/or the SCM Manager.
