Wood is recruiting a Windows Technical Analyst for a fixed-term contract of six months in duration. The Technical Analyst will assist the Project Team in ensuring the successful planning and delivery of the programmes of work designed to remove MS Windows 2008 and MS Windows 2012 from the Wood infrastructure estate. The WIN2K8 programme is 77% complete with only 246 servers still to mitigate.  The Technical Analyst will engage in the technical delivery of this programme of work and see it through to completion using existing processes, resources and methodologies.  At the same time the Technical Analyst will engage with the Project Manager and Wood IT resources to ramp up the WIN2K12 project making full use of the learning from the WIN2K8 project to inform ways of delivering more efficiently and effectively.  Ultimately the Technical Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the technical aspects of the delivery of the WIN2K12 project utilising core project resources and under guidance from the Project Manager and the Senior Applications Support & Operations Manager.   Key responsibilities - Ensure remediation paths for each application/server are investigated and determined - Ensure Wood Processes and Procedures are followed (e.g. Change Management) - Escalate issues to senior leadership - Analysis and completion of Server Build Templates/Requirements, application specifications, etc for both Azure and On Premise servers - Verification of server builds against specification - Troubleshooting technical issues as they arise - Interfacing with the DBA team with a good ability to communicate technical items - Interrogate database servers to determine what applications/users are dependent. - Requesting new or changes to existing DNS records - Liaising with Infrastructure Technical Team on server builds/upgrades - Liaising with Change Management on Change Requests, Approvals and Execution - Liaising with application vendors on application upgrades - Liaising with application SMEs on application upgrades, migrations, decommissioning activities - Ensure that all activities are performed at a consistently high standard with minimal risk to the Business, and that opportunities to improve services and processes are identified and actioned. - Be committed to health and safety and ensure familiarity with all of the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures. - Be security conscious, ensure familiarity and co-operation with all Wood IT security procedures and data protection policies. - Promote equality  and diversity in all aspects of your work by developing and maintaining positive working relationships, ensuring that colleagues are treated fairly and with respect/dignity and actively contributing to developments that support the Company’s strategy for widening access, inclusion and diversity.

Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Civil Engineer for a role in Baku, Azerbaijan. The assignment will involve twelve months in a PMC role, and you will be responsible for policing engineering design deliverables by Contractor and by Vendors, and guiding Owner on technical issues.The person will be part of a team of representatives of all Engineering Disciplines.   The successful candidates should have a proven track record of working on EPC projects for Oil & Gas facilities, especially refineries, and display good overall knowledge of Civil Engineering. They must be fully knowledgeable about codes, standards & recommended practices for this discipline.   Responsibilities - Guide and manage the EPC Contractor in developing the scope of works as defined in the Contract - Comment on Contractor's design documentation and vendors’ drawings - Providing advice and experience to the Client - Co-ordinating and resolving comments from Client to Contractor - Participate to meetings with Client, EPC Contractor, Vendors - Provide technical support to the project management team

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior / Principal Electrical Designer (contract). The ideal candidate will be technically strong and have experience within the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, LNG or Power Generation industry. Previous experience in a similar position would be highly beneficial   Work scope - Self - starter and an ability to produce electrical deliverables with little input or guidance - Good understanding with respect to applicable international codes and standards and their application - High level of competency with respect to Micro - station 2D (Experience of Smart plant S3D and or SPEL would be beneficial but not essential) - Experience of delivering the following deliverables - Substation design, Cable routing, Area classification layouts, Cable and MTO Schedules, Standard installation details, Lighting and earthing philosophies and layouts - Strong understanding of plant design and equipment layout and ability to coordinate with other discipline design groups to progress a joined - up plant design
