Wood is recruiting a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Brunei. The project will run over a five - year period with a possible two - year extension. Wood has many years of experience in carrying such projects all over the world and it is our intention to bring our world class systems to this project.   Successful applicants will be responsible for the day to day activities for delivery of Technical Safety Engineering scope. This position is to support the Technical Safety HSE61 team for specific and for HSE / 6 team in general to ensure that Technical Safety requirements are incorporated into Opportunity Maturation and Frontend Projects (Pre DG3) - dedicated for Brownfield Rejuvenation project. - Coordinate the overall HSSE - SP requirement for pre - DG3 Opportunity maturation and front - end projects in BSP - Develop Project Control Assurance Plan on Technical safety for specific development or project allocated in line with DCAF and Project Guide (PG - 01) - Execute HEMP studies to support feasibility and concept selection studies - Support concept selection ALARP demonstration and development of Basis of Design - Organize, facilitate and contribute HAZID and analyze Hazard using Bow Tie - Demonstrate and document ALARP process (HSE case) - Manage change of HSE case - Conduct Physical Effect Modelling (using Fred software) - Review Fire Safety and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) - Develop Emergency Response Scenario - Investigate major hazard incident - Conduct HAZOP contribution, Desktop Safety Review and Pre - start - up HSE reviews - Prepare, review and assure Technical Safety Project documentation - Provide Technical Assurance and oversight of contracted activities - Design aspects like fire protection, 3D model reviews, etc.

Prepare detailed test plans, procedures, work instructions, JSA’s, etc. as necessary for commissioning activities - Prepare for and attend Factory Acceptance Tests as required - Review vendors commissioning assistance plans. - Prepare performance test procedures and operating manuals in support of the BSP Commissioning Team - Identify pre-commissioning and commissioning tools, test equipment, temporary facilities, lubricants, consumables, third party services required for work execution and assist in the procurement thereof - Provide input to the establishment of system and sub-system boundaries and Completions database population in conjunction with the Completions team - Participate in constructability reviews to ensure efficient commissioning and handover - Ensure all commissioning data, documentation and handovers are in accordance with Completions process and project procedures - Play an active role in maintaining a strong safety culture in commissioning team - Assist in the preparation of BSP performance test procedures and operating manuals - Report accurate commissioning progress and status reports to the Lead Commissioning Engineer and project planner Allied Occasional Duties - Liaise with support vendors as required

Key Responsibilities:   - Provide Wood with a single point of contact for crane operation at SWP. - Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on pedestal cranes. - Execute assigned crane works and ensure cranes safe and reliable operation. - Carry out crane maintenance works according to given procedure and method statement. - Ensure all crane maintenance works and crane operations are executed in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with company’s and client’s safety and quality procedures. - Supports work preparation engineers onshore by providing procedures and manhours inputs and attend IPOPs & JHAs. - Raise notification as needed. - Write and originate permit to works and act as person in charge of the worksite. - Support updating SAP maintenance related data and information, attend PMO – plant maintenance optimization review as required. - Provide Wood with point of contact for material controls at BSB. - Manage and maintain material stores and laydown areas. - Maintain material inventory and records. - Ensure receipt and issuance of materials, tools and equipment are being done in an efficient manner in compliance with company’s and client’s material management protocol. - Prepare BSB prior to receipt of materials and prepare materials and equipment for send out to OGP & SWP and vendor workshops. - Manage material receipt and issuance thru SAP. - Coordinate with relevant persons regarding material and equipment movement, offloading/receiving & send out and laydown areas. - Supports implementation preparation onshore and attend IPOPs & JHAs. - Participate and support company’s competency program and mentor/coach colleagues to ensure they comply to competency requirement for each job. - Promote positive HSSE culture at the workplace and ensure consistent raising of Safety Observation Cards. - Support and contribute to Wood values, programs and initiatives at site like safety, continuous improvement and MCFC – Maintenance & Construction Feedback Card. - Support Wood’s initiative for cost saving and help sustain a cost-effective maintenance strategy. - Support and contribute to Wood in achieving overall KPIs set by client. - Support resources optimization. - Promote respect within colleagues, client and sub-contractors. - Support implementation and HSSE during turnarounds and production holds. - Provide quality handover or report after end of shift.
