This position is on third party agency payroll & based at Kolkata, India. - Understand thoroughly common equipment and routing of all major process and utility piping in accordance with P&IDs and project standards, including the understanding of impact of specific service conditions on piping design e.g., vibration, two-phase slug flow - Understand basis stress analysis concepts and skilled in pipe support selection and capable of preparing SPS designs - Understand clearly the piping standards and details, be capable of providing structured feedback on piping and layout standards through line manager or as appropriate, and have experience in proving necessary inputs for preparation of project standards and procedures - Hands on experience in E3D software is a must along with Autocad, Microstation. Ensure Control & Instrumentation design of assigned Offshore Project as per India Operations systems. Carry out Control & Instrumentation design of assigned Offshore Project at India Operations and at assigned locations.   - Ensure that the content and objective of the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Policy and the Information Security policies are implemented and understood by all supervised staff. - Ensure the execution of project work, in accordance with the Discipline Design Instructions, contractual requirements including Wood Group, India Operations and / or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule targets. - Direct and control the discipline personnel assigned to project. Assignment of specific tasks for the personnel during the project execution. Highlight the updation requirements in existing procedures. Also issue MPP based on workload. - Review project schedules with the Dy. Update and reissue periodically. - Prepare and Check the drawing index for Instrument drawings. - Prepare general notes requisitions for instrumentation. Develop data sheets and prepare material requisitions for valves and all other instrument items including control system. Review Instrument aspects of package unit supplier’s drawings as requested by the engineer responsible for the equipment. - Ensure that Instrument engineering operations are complete in accordance with the approved project schedule and within allocated man-hours. - Advise the Dy. Manager / Chief Engineer / Chief Specialist of any slippages and their causes and proposed correction, corrective and improvement action, any technical problems and unresolved differences with other groups. - Highlight as applicable to Dy. Wood India in recruiting for Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer role with O&G experience to work from Chennai Office.   The incumbent should be conversant and / expected to deliver the following: - Have a sound knowledge of International Codes & Standards and General C&I Engineering - Shall have offshore brown field engineering experience and site experience - With minimum supervision be able to carry out all aspects of General C&I Engineering to a high standard from first principles using client standards and in line with Project requirements with minimum supervision confirming to safety and quality control within the man-hour budget and the project schedule targets - Be able to check the quality of work carried out by Engineers / designers - Shall be capable of handling C&I activities for the mechanical packages like Compressors and packages related to offshore. - Shall be capable of handling Control system packages independently - Shall be capable of performing Project C&I activities taking full responsibility for Quality, budget, schedule, safety targets with Lumpsum mentality - Should have good experience in performing & checking of MTO activities from the Feed documents for contract estimation purposes
